I’ve just completed a third oil painting in a series of work based on roads. I like the idea of combining my love of landscape with a road, particularly places that have something a little different about them. When driving home through the forest last December I noticed a lot of mist which gave the landscape a very eerie atmosphere. I stopped the car a few times to take photos and created some compositions when I got back to the studio.
The new piece is called ‘Heading Back’ and can be found in the ‘Quiet Roads’ section of this website.
